Meet Sam Shrefler
For two decades, our family has been fortunate to travel to and rent at Sea Colony. We’ve enjoyed the incredible amenities, playing tennis and pickle ball, swimming at the many indoor and outdoor pools, and enjoying the private beach access. Now, we invite you to experience that same fun at our homes we like to call “Serving Sand”.

The Story Behind the Name
Why “Serving 8”? It is simple: each of our homes sleeps eight guests perfectly. We wanted a name that told you exactly what to expect — space for your whole crew, right on the coast.
Both homes carry the “Serving Sand” name because that is their purpose: to serve you sand between your toes, salt in the air, and the kind of slow mornings that only happen at the beach. One faces west, one faces east — together they frame the Bethany Beach experience from every angle.
We fell in love with this stretch of Delaware coastline years ago and knew we wanted to share it. These homes are our way of passing that feeling along to every family and friend group that walks through the door.
Our Approach to Hosting
We believe a great vacation starts before you arrive. From the moment you book, we are here to answer questions, share local tips, and make sure everything is ready for your arrival.
Every stay includes freshly made beds, stocked essentials, and a home that has been cleaned and inspected with care. We want you to walk in, drop your bags, and head straight for the beach — no stress, no surprises, just vacation.
